AI image variations for product photos

One product photo, a set of related images: a different setting, a different mood, a close crop, a colourway. For the ad tests and social sets that need several looks of the same product.

What an image variation generator does

It generates a new image from the photo you upload and a sentence saying what should change. The photo carries the product, the framing and the look; the sentence moves one thing. Four runs with four sentences give a test set from one source, without four shoots.

It is one tool in MotionArt's ecommerce photo editing toolkit; for a set that starts from a plain photo, the AI product photoshoot toolkit is the first step and this page is the second.

Four variations, with the words to type

The same product, a different setting

For testing which scene sells: keep the product and the framing, change what is around it.

same product, same angle and framing, placed on a marble bathroom shelf with soft daylight

Try this variation

The same scene, a different mood

For a seasonal campaign from the same shot: the composition stays, the light and palette change.

same composition, warm late-afternoon light, autumn colours, slightly shallower depth of field

Try this variation

A close crop of the detail

For the gallery slot that shows texture or a feature. Describe the part, not the whole.

close-up of the stitching and clasp, same product, same lighting, shallow depth of field

Try this variation

A colourway

For a range shot without a second sample. For an exact brand hex, finish in the colour changer.

the same bag in forest green leather, everything else unchanged

What to check before a variation goes live

The product

A variation is generated from the photo and the sentence; the product can drift. Compare each result with the source on shape, label text, logo and colour, and keep only what matches. For images that represent the item for sale, the retouch and background tools, which keep the product pixel for pixel, are the safer route.

The sentence

"Same product, same angle" at the start of the prompt holds the variation close to the source. The more the sentence changes, the further the result moves.

The use

Variations earn their place in ads and social, where a set of different-looking images of one product is the point. One of them can become the product-page image only after the product check above.

Questions about image variations

A new image generated from an existing photo and a sentence describing what should change. The photo sets the product, the framing and the look; the sentence moves one thing: the setting, the light, the crop or the colour. The result is a related image, not an edit of the original pixels.
